Powerbitches Salon: Naj Austin + Ethel's Club

October Salon.png

This event is open to members and non-members. RSVP here.

Naj Austin created Ethel’s Club in response to “an overwhelming lack of representation” she saw in the social clubs and coworking spaces proliferating across New York City. She wanted to create an unique third space that centered PoC identity and experiencees through arts, culture, community and wellness.

Naj clearly wasn’t alone in her desire: after she announced Ethel’s Club on Instagram this past January, 600 people signed up for the waitlist in the first 24 hours alone.

Since then, Ethel’s Club has attracted the attention of heavy hitters such as the New York Times and NYT best-selling author Roxane Gay, who was an early investor in the company. After a successful $25,000 crowdfunding campaign this past May, the team plans to open doors for members this coming Fall in East Williamsburg.

Join Naj and Powerbitches founder Rachel Hills for an intimate and interactive conversation about how Ethels Club is disrupting New York’s social club landscape, how she has leveraged her background in real estate and tech to grow the company and her decision to build a fast-growing start-up with intentional investors in and outside of the VC world.

Ticket includes sit-down dinner, drinks, and networking opportunities with a curated group of feminist creators and innovators. In order to maintain the intimacy of the Salon, only 18 tickets will be put on sale - so get in early to secure yours.
