Former HR consultant Cynthia Medina Carson created WAGER after one too many times sitting across the table from a would-be employee who had no idea what they were worth. A believer in the power of transparency, she wanted to give people the data they needed to advocate for a salary that reflected their skills and experiences - and level the playing field for women and people of color in the process.
WAGER started by matching professionals with similar skillsets, industries, and levels of experience for honest conversations about salary, and now offers individual salary coaching and corporate workshops as well. Eventually, its mission is to put the onus on companies to create and foster a salary transparent culture that gives employees better guidance on how to achieve their salary goals.
Join Cynthia and Powerbitches founder Rachel Hills, for an intimate and interactive conversation about building a business, the role of transparency in closing the gender pay gap, and what tools we need to advocate for ourselves as freelancers and business owners.
Ticket includes a three-course vegetarian dinner, drinks, and the opportunity to network with a curated group of purpose-driven women creators and innovators.
