Being a feminist entrepreneur is not just about being a woman who has the balls to run her own business. It’s about being a person (of any gender) who is committed to creating organizations, services, and products that help to build a more feminist and just world. Feminist entrepreneurs and business owners integrate the principles of gender equality and gender equity into every aspect of what they do: from hiring, to sales and marketing, to work design, to issues of pay equity.
Join a group of feminist founders and leaders for a unique roundtable conversation about how feminist business practice is transforming work and the economy in New York City and beyond.
Led by journalist and author Rachel Hills (Founder of Powerbitches, Author of The Sex Myth) and feminist business practice thought leader Lex Schroeder (Co-Founder, Feminists At Work and Co-Producer, Entrepreneurial Feminist Forum) and other featured contributors TBD, we’ll talk about what feminist entrepreneurship is, how leading and emerging New York businesses are applying the principles of feminism to their work, why this makes a difference, and the unique challenges and opportunities feminist entrepreneurs face.
This won't be a panel. It will be a space to share ideas, challenges, questions, and success stories, and to have a critical but grounded conversation about what feminist business looks like.
The future of business is what we make it, and it is most certainly feminist. Join us!
